Module 05 · Security & Biometrics

Attendance & Data Decryption

Verify every candidate at the gate with biometrics and signed QR codes, then keep response data sealed from click to result with quorum-controlled decryption.

  • Under-2s biometric matching
  • Quorum-based key custody
  • Immutable audit logs

Capabilities

Two Problems, One Module: Who Sat, and What They Wrote

Examination integrity collapses at two points: someone else sits the paper, or answer data leaks afterward. This module closes both doors, at the center gate and in the data pipeline.

Biometric Candidate Verification

Fingerprint or iris capture at center entry matches against enrollment templates captured during application. Mismatches hold the candidate for manual review instead of silently seating them.

QR Admit Card Scanning

Admit cards carry signed QR codes bound to the candidate record. A screenshot, edit, or duplicate fails signature validation instantly, closing the most common impersonation route.

02
Key Detail

Every candidate receives a cryptographically signed QR code linked to their biometric template. Forgery is computationally infeasible.

Live Gate Dashboards

Controllers see per-center reporting progress as candidates stream in: verified counts, held-for-review cases, and no-shows. Late centers are visible while intervention is still possible.

03
Key Detail

Response files are encrypted with AES-256 from the moment they are written. No single party holds the full decryption key.

End-to-End Response Encryption

From the moment a candidate clicks submit to final result processing, response files stay encrypted. Venue staff never handle readable answer data at any point in the day.

04
Key Detail

Decryption requires k-of-n key holders to act together. No individual can access raw response data unilaterally.

Managed Decryption Pipeline

Decryption keys live in hardware-backed storage with quorum-based access. Processing batches require multiple authorized custodians, so no single person can expose candidate answers.

05
Key Detail

Every key access, decryption attempt, and data export is logged immutably. The chain of custody is auditable end to end.

Immutable Chain-of-Custody Log

Every verification event, file transfer, key access, and batch approval writes to an append-only log with actor identity and timestamp, ready for audit or litigation on demand.

06
Key Detail

Gate dashboards show real-time verification status, queue depth, and flagged anomalies. Invigilators act on data, not intuition.

Chain of Custody

Where Response Data Travels, and Who Can Touch It

  1. Capture

Candidate responses encrypt inside the testing client before touching disk, keyed per venue and session.

  2. Seal

Shift-end files hash and sign at the venue server; the central store rejects anything whose integrity fails verification.

  3. Transfer

Signed packages move over authenticated channels; every hop records sender, receiver, and checksum.

  4. Vault

Files rest encrypted until result processing. Key access requires quorum approval and generates its own log entries.

  5. Decrypt & Score

Authorized batches decrypt inside the processing environment only, with output re-encrypted for downstream scoring systems.

  • Venue staff never possess readable answer data at any stage
  • Decryption requires multi-person quorum; single custodians cannot act alone
  • Integrity hashes verify every package before acceptance
  • The complete custody log exports as court-ready evidence

At the Gate

Ninety Seconds Per Candidate, Fully Evidenced

Gate throughput decides whether a 3,000-candidate center reports on time. The verification flow is engineered for speed first, with escalation lanes that never block the main queue.

Browse Verified Centers
  1. QR scan validates the signed admit card against the drive manifest
  2. Photo on screen confirms identity at a glance for invigilators
  3. Biometric template match completes in under two seconds
  4. Clean candidates proceed; mismatches divert to the review desk
  5. Verified count updates the command dashboard in real time
